Landing page

A page with one job. Right for a specific offer. Wrong when it is a copy with the town swapped.

What does Landing page mean?

A page built for one visit and one next step, often reached from an ad, a profile, or a specific search, rather than by browsing the whole site.

Also called: campaign page

Different from the homepage

The homepage introduces the business and offers a few doors. A landing page assumes the visitor already has a reason: a spring tune-up, a lunch menu, a consultation type. It repeats less of the company story and makes the next step obvious. The call to action is the point of the page.

Service pages on a small site are often landing pages in practice. Someone arrives from search or from the profile and should not have to excavate. You do not need a separate marketing dialect for them.

When to add one

Add a page when the offer, the audience, or the proof is different enough that mixing it into another page makes both worse. A med spa that offers two kinds of visits can say so on two pages without promising an outcome on either. A contractor's emergency work and scheduled work are the same kind of split.

Do not add a page only to have a new URL for an ad if the content is the homepage pasted again. Ads can point at a real service page. Thin duplicates are how sites get long without getting clearer.

Doorway pages are not landing pages

A doorway page exists to catch a search and immediately shuffle the person elsewhere, or it exists as one of fifty town clones. That is not an offer. We will not build a set of them and call it local reach.

If you run a short seasonal offer, a single honest page, removed or rewritten when the offer ends, is enough. Redirect the URL if you shared it. Website content is how you gather the facts before that page is written.

An example

A concrete contractor kept sending ad clicks to the homepage, where driveways, patios, and repairs shared one scroll. A single driveway page, with photos of driveways and a request form, gave the ad a place to land. They did not build a page per neighborhood.

Questions we get asked

Does every ad need its own landing page?

No. An ad can open the service page that matches it. Build a separate page when the offer itself is different from what the service page says.

Are landing pages included in the $0 down site?

The small-business offer covers the home page plus a short set of pages, not an unlimited campaign library. A large set of landing pages is a packages quote. Say how many you need before kickoff.
