SEO
Helping the right page answer a real search. Not a lever that assigns you first place.
What does SEO mean?
The work of making a page clear to search engines and to the person searching: the right topic, a readable page, and a site that loads without tricks.
Also called: search engine optimization
The part you can see
SEO starts as writing. A page should say what the business does, where it does it, and what the visitor can do next. The title in the browser tab, the headings, and the first sentences are the parts a search engine reads most carefully. Stuffing the town name into every line does not make the page clearer.
Technical chores sit beside the writing. The site should load over HTTPS, use addresses that stay stable, and avoid a pile of copies of the same page. Local SEO is the slice about map results and nearby intent. General SEO is the rest: service pages, names of the work, and a site that is not fighting itself.
What a serious offer refuses
No one honest can sell you a ranking. Search engines change the order, competitors change their pages, and your own slow winter changes demand. A page can be well built and still sit under a bigger brand. Treat a guarantee of position one as a reason to keep your deposit.
Bought links, fake locations, and doorway pages for every town in the state are not SEO we will do. They are attempts to counterfeit a reputation. The local SEO checklist is the plain version: matching facts, real photos, and a profile that points at the real site.
How it shows up in our work
On an Artol site the writing is included. Competitive market research means we read what nearby businesses say and we answer the gaps, in your facts, not in their sentences. Google Business Profile setup is included and is not a substitute for the pages.
If you want a report full of charts, ask for it as a separate question. The site's job is to explain the work and collect a request. Google Search Console is the free place to see which queries already bring people. It is a window, not a score you must worship.
An example
A garage-door company had one homepage that mentioned springs, openers, and off-track doors in a single block. Splitting those into honest service pages, with titles a homeowner would actually type, is SEO. Promising the map pack by Friday is not.
Questions we get asked
Is SEO a monthly add-on?
The pages and the profile setup are part of the site, not a second retainer we spring at the end. Ongoing experiments, ads, and a content mill are different products. Ads are not included.
Does a new site rank immediately?
Do not plan on it. Indexing takes time, and a new set of words can move you up or down. Redirects from old addresses protect rankings as far as a redirect can. They are not a promise.
