Cooklook
The Challenge
Cooklook is an AI-powered recipe organizer for home cooks: save recipes from social feeds and the web, keep them beautifully formatted, and get practical help while cooking. The product team needed a marketing flagship that could explain a dense feature set—import, AI organization, editing with version history, sous-chef guidance, grocery lists—without feeling like a feature spreadsheet.
The site also competes in a crowded category; it had to communicate differentiation (living cookbook vs. “folder of links”) and earn trust quickly with proof, FAQs, and a credible App Store path.
What we focused on:
- Clarity for first-time visitors — one line on “save from anywhere,” then immediately show how import + AI helps day-to-day cooking.
- Conversion harmony — web story, free signup, and App Store download CTAs needed to feel consistent, not competing.
- Premium consumer polish — warm imagery, product screenshots, and testimonial rhythm appropriate for a paid/freemium consumer app.
What we did
We designed and built getcooklook.com as a fast, modern marketing site that leads with Cooklook’s promise—Your Recipes, All in One Place —and ladders into product proof: hero cooking photography, app UI captures, feature grid, FAQs, and social/testimonial validation.
What shipped
- Positioning & conversion funnel — headline hierarchy (#1 AI recipe organizer), “Get Started Free” and App Store paths, and clarity on free vs. Pro.
- Product storytelling — save from Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, NYT-style sites and 500+ sources; AI organization; edits, scaling, substitutions; smart grocery lists.
- Trust & education — comparison-style FAQ (why Cooklook vs. alternatives), device coverage (iPhone, iPad, Android, web), and reassurance on cancellations and data ownership.
- Performance-oriented delivery — Next.js-friendly asset pipeline and responsive marketing imagery so the experience stays crisp on phones where cooks actually live.
The result is a marketing surface that sells the habit—cook more, scroll recipes less—and makes the product’s AI value obvious before the first download.
The impact
"I've tried 3 other apps and nothing came close to Cooklook. The AI import gets it right every single time," writes Sarah M., a home cook featured on Cooklook's site.
The launch marketing site gives Cooklook a single, appetizing front door for organic and paid traffic—pairing emotional food photography with concrete workflows (import → organize → cook → shop).
Outcomes the page is built to support:
- Faster comprehension — visitors map “save anywhere” and AI help to their own TikTok/Pinterest habits quickly.
- Lower objection handling — FAQs cover platforms, pricing limits, editing/version history, and what happens if Pro is canceled.
- Trust scaffolding — testimonial patterns and quantitative social proof (5,000+ home cooks) reinforce credibility pre-install.
